Our Goal

Estonia’s Social Democratic Party’s main goal is to direct the nation’s values toward people-centered politics.

Our Mission

Our mission is to create a social welfare country which values people as our biggest assets and promotes   the economic and social well-being of its citizens.

Our Vision

Social Democrats see Estonia as our nation’s home. There are no homeless or ostracized, winners or losers at home. Everyone is appreciated at home and everyone gets to participate equally. There are enough jobs for those who want to work and know how. At home, you’ll care for people who can’t do it themselves and you teach the ones who don’t have the skills.

Our Values

Social Democrats value equality, social justice, solidarity and economic democracy.

Labor

Social Democracy prioritizes active labor policies. Our goal is a competitive Estonian economy. We promote growth and employment, guarantee education, high-wage jobs for skilled laborers. The economic development should benefit the people, not the other way around.

Equality

Social democracy reduces inequality in the society between people and without national boundaries and guarantees everyone a chance to participate in the growth of society’s well-being. Social democracy reduces poverty and limits wastefulness and greediness.

Social Justice

Social democratic policies are based on the principles of equality and solidarity, that understand and value human rights, and that recognizes the dignity of every human being. Social democracy guarantees universal healthcare and social support for handicapped persons and elderly. It is a duty of all people to work toward the same goal.

Solidarity

Social democracy promotes collective welfare provisions and takes into account diverse points of views. A willingness to pay for other people’s services and benefits rests upon the understanding that they in turn will do likewise for you and your children: because they are like you and see the world as you do. We prioritize education and unlimited equal opportunities for self fulfillment.
